Dimitar Dangov is drawn to the notion of androgyny in clothing; his inspiration in design unintentionally depicts genderless forms that rely on the wearer’s body to transform the garment. Dimitar’s attention to detail and manipulation in his design can be traced back to his previous education in photography at OCADU. As an aspiring fashion designer currently in his 3rd year at Ryerson’s School of Fashion, Dimitar incorporates his visual arts education into his garment design, and often takes traditional design conventions and manipulates their placement and purpose. Dimitar seeks to design garments that the wearer connects to in a physical and conceptual way.
