Comrags, established in 1983 by Joyce Gunhouse and Judy Cornish, presents a traditional approach to design and clothing production; from start to finish, each garment is produced in-house. The designers begin a collection by selecting unusual fabrics from a handful of European mills. Their creative process goes beyond simply sketching ideas, and embraces draping, drafting, sewing, and arguing as the greatest sources of inspiration.
